Josh Raynolds’ review and score just in!
7/24/2011
By: Josh Raynolds (IWC collaborator)
2009 Pinot Noir Estate, Chehalem Mountains ($65)
Full ruby. Sexy, highly perfumed aromas of black-raspberry, candied cherry, Asian spices and incense, with a slow-building vanilla note. Plush and expansive, offering sappy dark berry flavors that show liqueur-like intensity and depth. Surprisingly lively wine, with spice and floral notes carrying through the very long, juicy finish. There’s no problem drinking this now but it has the depth to reward patience.
91pts.

2007 De Lancellotti Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Estate
De Lancellotti Family Vineyards
A Pinot Noir Dry Red Table wine from Chehalem Mountains, North Willamette Valley, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
The 2007 Pinot Noir Estate is medium ruby-colored with an expressive bouquet of smoke, minerals, damp earth, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. Moderately structured on the palate with excellent depth and savory fruit, this lengthy, substantial Pinot will evolve for 2-3 years and drink well from 2011 to 2019.
In addition to his biodynamically certified vineyard and his winery, Paul De Lancellotti has just opened a hotel, restaurant, and wine bar in Dundee. The food products are all locally farmed and organic. The restaurant is named Farm to Fork and the wine bar is named Press.
